What is an Activated Carbon Filter?
Activated carbon is a form of carbon which has been processed to have small pores that increase the surface area available for adsorption. It has a high degree of microporosity, and can effectively filter out 99.88% of viruses, bacteria, pollution, dust, chemicals, particles, pollen and smoke in the environment.
The activated carbon layer in our mask meets STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances) and is certified to be completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use.
- A single filter can be used for 50 days, when used for 2-3 hours per day.
- Filters should be replaced every 3-4 days after being used for 12 consecutive hours daily.
