Activated Carbon Filter Inserts for Face Masks

Designed to provide 99.88% particle filtration efficiency when used with home made or professionally made face masks.
Our filters, made with activated carbon, developed for chemical and biological industry applications and emergencies, allow for optimal breathing whilst optimizing the filtering of harmful chemicals and gases.

Filters provide Viral Filtration Efficiency (VFE) of 99.88% using test method ASTM F 2101, as tested by Eurolab Laboratory Services, member of United Accreditation Foundation.

Filters come with a velcro strip on the back, and can be easily inserted into or fixed to most face masks with your own Velcro for superior protection. 

Care Instructions: Do not wash the filter. Wipe with antibacterial wipes. In case of exposure dispose and replace.

What is an Activated Carbon Filter?

Activated carbon is a form of carbon which has been processed to have small pores that increase the surface area available for adsorption.  It has a high degree of microporosity, and can effectively filter out 99.88% of viruses, bacteria, pollution, dust, chemicals, particles, pollen and smoke in the environment.

The activated carbon layer in our mask meets STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances) and is certified to be completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use.


  • A single filter can be used for 50 days, when used for 2-3 hours per day.
  • Filters should be replaced every 3-4 days after being used for 12 consecutive hours daily.
  • If the wearer is suspected of having, or has corona virus, or has been in contact with, or has been in suspected contact with corona virus, the filter should be disposed of and replaced.

Instructions For Use As A Multi-Use Mask:

  • Insert the activated carbon filter into your mask, mask pocket or by velcro attachments.
  • Washing instructions:
    • The active carbon filter layer must be detached from the cotton mask.
    • The strap should then be detached from the mask;
    • The clamping buckle and the strap are pulled out;
    • During the wash, high heat (about 70 degrees) must be used to eliminate contaminants;
  • Carbon Filter Care Instructions:
    • Do not wash carbon filter;
    • Wipe with antibacterial wipes;
    • In case of exposure dispose and replace.
